  • WELCOME / OPENING WORDS


WEDDING OFFICIANT:

“Friends, family, and loved ones — welcome! We’re gathered here to celebrate one of life’s greatest blessings, as we witness the union of (NAME) and (NAME).  


Marriage is a promise made between two people, to love, honor, and cherish each other for all of their lives. To comfort each other in times of hardship, and laugh together in times of joy and plenty. To walk side by side through all of life’s adventures, as friends, lovers, and equals. Today, (NAME) and (NAME) make this commitment together.” 



  • DECLARATION OF INTENT: THE ‘I DO’S


WEDDING OFFICIANT:

“(NAME) do you take (NAME) to be your [spouse / wife / husband], and your partner in life from this day forward?”


[NAME / PARTNER 1]:

“I do!”


WEDDING OFFICIANT:

“(NAME) do you take (NAME) to be your [spouse / wife / husband], and your partner in life from this day forward?”


[NAME / PARTNER 2]:

“I do!”



  • EXCHANGE OF WEDDING RINGS (OPTIONAL)
